By Julie Taylor, Realtor.com

December 27, 2024

Fans of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" have been captivated by the show’s stunning mansions, with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains peeking through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.

Much of the show is filmed in Park City, UT—a ski town that captivates the imagination and serves up an Instagram-worthy backdrop for the winter wonderland of your dreams.

But Park City is just one of the incredibly lavish locales where the ultrawealthy base themselves for ski season, and where house prices regularly soar into the tens of millions. Park City currently has 15 homes listed on Realtor.com®, with…

A galloping horse with a rider astride, urging her steed faster, and faster still, across a track of slippery snow.

It would be exciting enough to watch in winter: For rodeo aficionados, the sheer speed, physical exertion and partnership between horse-and-rider even resembles barrel racing (minus the barrels). But there is one additional dimension to this “extreme winter sport” that sets it apart: the horse and rider are pulling a skier behind them over berms and bumps, and, in the case of the Skijoring event in Leadville, down main street, before a crowd of thousands cheering all of…

Wild on the outside, cozy on the inside. That’s the logical and altogether genius concept that AD 100 firm Olson Kundig conceived for Telluride’s new five-star lodgings, the area’s first in 15 years.

Putting roots down in Mountain Village, 800 feet above Telluride, the new $1 billion Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences—projected to open in late 2027—is the resort region’s biggest hotel/residential development to date. “The mountains are such a peaceful meditative place,” says Tom Kundig, Principal/Owner and Founder of Seattle-based Olson Kundig. “Or they can be challenging and even threatening. We wanted to celebrate the best of both worlds.”

Untamed views of rugged snow-dusted peaks are framed through floor-to-ceiling windows.…
